Singer/entertainer Bricktop (aka Ada Beatrice Queen Victoria Louisa Virginia Smith Du Conge) wearing her most deadly boa, hit Paris in the twenties and opened her nightclub where she sang for Fitzgerald, Hemingway, and the Prince of Wales. Cole Porter wrote "Miss Otis Regrets" for her. This photograph was taken as Bricktop was preparing to write a book about her life.
